KOH PHAYAM ISLAND, JUST WILD ENOUGH!

The adorable kangaroo-shaped island of Koh Phayam is just 35 km and boasts long white sandy beaches amongst colorful coral reefs, amazing wildlife and the surrounding sparkling turquoise sea.

WHERE IS KOH PHAYAM?

Koh Phayam is a small, kangaroo-shaped island, 35 km from Ranong, opposite Burmese St. Matthew’s Island is the main tourist spot in Ranong province.

FACTS ABOUT KOH PHAYAM

Small roads without cars – just motorcycles and bicycle for cruising around. Electricity is delivered by solar energy as well as private generators. There are just three resorts on the island have electricity 24 hours a day: Buffalo Bay Vacation Club, Phayam Cottage and Blue Sky; though there are many more to choose from.

LOCAL ADVENTURE OPPORTUNITIES

The main village at the pier offers several restaurants, food stalls, shops selling food and supplies, as well as diving company offices and motorbike rental shops. Ko Phayam is a habitat for monkeys, wild animals and a variety of birds like Hornbill and Sea Eagle. At the south end of Buffalo Bay is a small sea gypsy settlement.

KOH YAO NOI ... JUST RIGHT!

A true off-the-beaten-path destination, Koh Yao Noi offers snorkeling and diving as well as hiking, swimming and kayaking. This tranquil and scenic location is dotted with wooden houses and majestic mangrove trees.

WHERE IS KOH YAO NOI?

Ready for an island destination that’s less well known than Ko Phi Phi, but not quite as remote as Koh Ra? Look no further than Koh Yao Noi, part of  a pair of large islands in the middle of Phang Nga Bay, equidistant to Phuket and the Krabi mainland.

Wooden houses all along the roads, buffalos taking mud baths in the rice paddies, the cool, shaded roads passing through the many rubber plantations and the beauty of the mangrove with its trees standing in the middle of the sea are just a few of the natural charms of this simple island.

KOH PHRA THONG, TREASURE OF THE ANDAMAN SEA

WHERE IS KOH PHRA THONG?

KOH SURIN NATIONAL PARK, ALMOST PARADISE

Open from October 2013 thru April 2014, the Koh Surin National Park is a paradise of fine white sandy beaches, thick jungle, crystal-clear waters, and the most extensive coral reef in Thailand.

WHERE IS KOH SURIN?

The Surin Islands (all 7 of them) are off the central Andaman Coast and can be reached from Khao Lak, Kura Buri, or Ranong. They are a natural preserve and home to Thailand’s last remaining tribe of Nomadic Sea Gypsies, the Moken.

At Koh Surin National Park, The National Park Authority of Thailand runs all of the accommodations for the Surin Islands giving three unique ways for visitors to enjoy their stay: camping, snorkeling or simply lounging about a bungalow.

Camping in the Surin Islands is fun and great value. Meanwhile, even budget travellers can enjoy the best snorkeling in Thailand and all necessary equipment is provided locally. The final option is to book one of the  bungalows on the beach. Providing the best of both worlds, they are equipped with fans and mosquito nets.
